Fact: most pain originates in muscles.
|
|
Massage therapy can powerfully help assist the natural healing power within. Removing blockages, clearing pathways, rejuvenating how one feels.
Our office has moved to Midtown
We have now moved into our new office location at 595 Wimbledon Rd, Atlanta, GA 30324.
This happens to be inside a group of massage therapists, along with a hairstylist, and esthetician. Some in this group have advertised as being located in the "Wimbledon Wellness Center".
Conveniently located off Piedmont Rd, one block north of Rock Springs Rd, locals will recognize as being near the gorilla carwash.
Robb has the experience to bring you relief.

The National Meritorious Award is given to acknowledge the diligent and altruistic work of an AMTA volunteer. Robb was recognized for his relentless commitment to both his Georgia chapter and the greater Georgian community.
Robb served the AMTA - Georgia chapter through various roles, serving as President from 2002-2004 and as the chapter's webmaster. He also was part of the Bill Writing Task Force.
Robb spearheaded the state licensure effort in Georgia… in Dec. 07 the state began to license massage therapists… now over 5,000 are licensed.
Trigger points cause many of our common aches & pain.
Medical doctors, led by Janet Travel, M.D. (personal physician to Presidents JFK and Lyndon Johnson), have researched a phenomenon known as myofascial trigger points. Unfortunately their research is not well known among the majority of medical doctors. Massage therapist who have studied Neuromuscular Massage Therapy are adept at finding and treating trigger points and thus offer amazing results from many types of aches and pain.
This research has found the most common site in the human body for the development of myofascial trigger points is the upper trapezius (illustrated above) with its referred pain patterns up the back of the neck and to the temple.
Headaches respond well to NMT
Many will experience awful headaches which have their origin from extreme tension in their neck muscles. Just combine a lot of reading with forward head tilt from a computer and you just might experience trouble from their SCM (sternocleidomastoid)muscle. Other symptoms that this muscle is notorious for creating include nausea, blurred vision, and equilibrium disturbance... all common to those with "migraines".
When front of the shoulder pain is not bursitis
From tennis players to those tasking in front of a computer, stored tension in the rotator cuff muscle (infraspinatus) can be felt as a deep burning in front of the shoulder. Medical doctors are trained to usually diagnose those presenting with deep burning pain in the front of the shoulder joint as bursitis. Amazingly and regularly patients report after receiving NMT that their "bursitis" has gone away.
A crick in the neck can be very nagging
The levator scapulae muscle is notorious for creating the feeling of having a "crick in the neck". Normal range of motion becomes quite a challenge when this area flares up, yet targeted treatment can bring welcome and immediate relief.
Lumbar pain
The quadratus lumborum commonly creates low back pain. Those with this problem will notice difficulty in flexing forward at the waist. Yet often times after receiving NMT will notice immediate improvement and that their back usually has a marked reduction of any sharp limitation to their range of motion.
